McCreary Center Expansion

This project will consist of extensive site work to create a campus for the new and existing buildings. The new facility will be a two-level building to be constructed on Highway 27 in McCreary County, KY. The building is approximately 94’ x 94’ per floor plate sitting on a relatively flat site and will include approximately 19,900sf. A double height interior exhibition space is included. The new building will include: classrooms, offices, 2d/3d art studios, and law enforcement labs. Along with the new facility a 1,500 sf remote storage building will be constructed as an alternate. In addition some minor renovation of the existing facility will occur. The site work includes clearing existing growth, paving, earthwork, planting and site concrete. The project includes complete Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Systems.
The building construction will include spread footings, concrete masonry unit load bearing walls, brick and prefaced concrete masonry unit veneers, suspended and gypsum board ceilings and built up roofing. This building will have a complete fire suppression sprinkler system. The storage building will be a pre-engineering metal building.
